Labor Payout Calculator
Internal fixed-rate crew payout tool — protect job profit and calculate crew pay
Job Information
Time & Buffer Protection
Protect gross margin when jobs run longer than expected
Add-On Payouts
Only include when extra work is in the customer price or approved by managementCrew Lead Bonus
COS Budget − Dump Fees − Equipment = Max Labor Budget
Labor is then split equally (or by lead split) among the crew.
Manager Approval
Internal Labor Payout Policy
Crew pay is based on the approved job payout, not hourly time. The payout is agreed to before the job starts. The payout is the total labor budget for the job and is split between the crew members assigned to the job. Adding more crew members does not automatically increase the approved payout.
The payout includes loading, carrying, cleanup, and completing the approved scope of work. Additional payout is only available when additional work is approved by WNY Junk Removal & Cleanout before the work is completed. Crew payout may be reduced if: the job is incomplete, photos are missing, the jobsite is left messy, the crew leaves without approval, or customer/property damage occurs due to careless work.

| ⚠ This cheat sheet is for reference only. The calculator above now uses the 70/30 Rule: Total COS (dump fees + equipment + labor) must stay at or below 30% of the customer job price. Labor budget = 30% of job price − other direct costs. The cheat sheet below may be used as a minimum floor check — never pay less than what makes sense for the crew, and never exceed the 30% COS ceiling. | ||

Dumpster Size Guide
For WNY team use only. Use this to choose the right dumpster and explain pricing to clients clearly.
If you're unsure, go slightly bigger than too small. Running out of space mid-job can cost more than starting with the right size.
Household items are lighter. Wood, drywall, and debris are heavier. If the dumpster is too heavy, there may be additional overage fees from the hauler.
Most full estate cleanouts require a 30-yard dumpster or multiple haul loads. Always confirm scope before committing to one dumpster.
